General principles

We use official or primary sources, separate facts from vendor claims, and correct errors when found.
We make editorial decisions independently and clearly disclose payments or gifted trials.
AI helps with research and drafting; we check sources before publishing and note update dates.
We update the site from time to time. The tool directory is maintained without charge, so form submissions and email replies may take a little longer. Thank you for your patience.
Translations are provided for convenience. If language versions differ, the English version takes precedence.

We list usable filmmaking tools and clearly marked public research resources.
Please include an official site or documentation so we can check features and limitations.
Tools should fit a filmmaking stage, such as scripts, storyboards, video, editing, voice or music.
Inclusion is free. Editors choose suitable tools and write the entries.
With limited time and resources, we cannot cover every product. Not being listed does not mean a tool is poor; some may simply await review.

“Suite” covers at least three production workflows; “Focused” concentrates on one task. These labels describe scope, not quality.

We explain useful filmmaking terms in plain language and retain sources where available.
Definitions are edited independently. Use the icon beside a term to suggest a correction.

Review links are labeled paid or unpaid; gifted accounts or trials are noted separately.
We describe the experience and limitations honestly. Paid reviews do not promise a positive conclusion.
